Storyboarding and the beginning of a big feature add
Good evening,
During the week days I have a few hours in the evening to work on this project. I decided this evening, since I am currently happy with the visuals of the game, that I needed to flesh out the plot of this game. I won’t be discussing the actually items in the storyboard, but I will say that during the planning I made the decision that the game needs more opportunities to explore and generate interest during the story progression. So I rewrote the storyboard several times and probably will continue to do so tomorrow. I have more or less locked down the setting elements in that storyboard, so I can continue to add game assets without worrying about having a place for them in the game world. It’s my intention to expand upon the storyboard substantially if the game jam version generates interest.
The majority of my time today was spent on implanting a feature that I’m pretty excited about. It looks like I will also be working on this feature tomorrow, as I was not able to finish the very long and informative series of tutorials that I am building the feature from. I don’t want to discuss the feature directly at this time, maybe closer to the jam release date, but I am confident that, as long as I can get it working, it will add a lot to the game.
